Home of the NRL’s Newcastle Knights, the 30,000 capacity McDonald Jones Stadium in New Lambton, is taking on a vibrant and classy new look — thanks to an extensive upgrade project currently underway.
With architect DWP responsible for the design and builder North Constructions carrying out the facelift for the Newcastle Knights NRL team’s home base, the refurbishment is already proving to be a winner.
Work undertaken as part of the stadium’s update includes the replacement of previous non-compliant cladding with top quality Vitrapanel architectural façade wall panels in Dark Grey Metallic, Silver Metallic and Ruby Red from Vitragroup.
The panels are coated in Australian-made Vitreflon 700 from A&I Coatings, providing a superior quality, ultra-durable, UV and weather resistant finish that will keep the stadium’s colourful façade looking great and in top form for a lifespan of up to 25 years.
Also Australian-made, Vitrapanel façade panels are produced by local manufacturer, Vitragroup, to the highest quality standards. A&I Coatings is pleased to once again have the opportunity to work with the reputable Vitragroup through the pairing of Vitrapanel and Vitreflon products for the Knights’ refurbished home.
