The Aura Boulevarde Bridge forms a stunning entrance into the new Aura – City of Colour, set to become a vibrant new community on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. The Aura Boulevarde Bridge is the first major piece of infrastructure for this new community and A&I Coatings were pleased to be included as the protective coatings supplier for this iconic bridge.
The bridge is constructed of concrete and has 39 steel embellishments bolted to one side of the bridge which form a unique colourful wave effect.
The steel embellishments were coated in Vitrezinc 586 epoxy zinc, Vitreset 416 epoxy intermediate, and Vitreflon 790 fluoropolymer topcoat. The fluoropolymer technology utilised on this project will ensure the colours will remain vibrant and glossy for years to come.
