PROK, a leading engineering manufacturer specialising in rollers, pins, and conveyor system components
for the mining industry, recently relocated into a larger manufacturing facility in Ingleburn, NSW.

The existing concrete floors within the facility had previously been exposed to heavy engineering use and
contained widespread hydraulic oil contamination across multiple areas. The client required a durable,
easy-to-maintain flooring solution that would improve light reflectivity within the workspace while also
clearly defining forklift traffic zones for operational safety.

To achieve this, A&I Coatings’ Endurafloor RC system was selected and installed across approximately
3,000m² of flooring over a staged three-week installation program.

Project Challenges/Scope Of Works:

  • Approximate Area: 3,000m²
  • Existing concrete floors were aged and heavily worn from previous engineering operations
  • Multiple areas of the slab were saturated with hydraulic oils and contaminants
  • The facility required minimal disruption during the relocation process
  • Forklift traffic areas needed to be clearly identified and separated from work zones
  • The customer required a light-reflective, hard-wear

Coating Solution:

  • Enviroset 4110 – Smooth Finish
  • Enviroset 4113 – Stipple Finish

Project Execution:

  • Existing concrete slabs were mechanically prepared through diamond grinding to achieve a CSP 2–3 profile
  • Oil-contaminated areas were treated using industrial degreasers and extraction equipment
  • Oil-affected sections were primed with Enviroset 4001 to ensure optimal adhesion
  • Endurafloor RC epoxy flooring system was then applied using conventional roller and brush methods
  • N35 Light Grey was installed throughout work areas to maximise light reflectivity
  • Jade Green was applied within designated forklift traffic zones
  • Yellow line marking was installed to clearly delineate traffic movement and operational areas
  • Installation works were completed over a three-week period in three separate stages, allowing sections of the facility to remain operational during the factory relocation PROK Engineering Manufacturing Facility
