Wagners Composite Fibre Technology at Toowoomba are a very innovative company who make pultruded fibreglass products for a number of markets worldwide. One such product is prefabricated bridges for pedestrian and vehicle traffic

The bridges have a design life of 120 years and Wagners needed a coating to suit. Wagners tested Vitreflon, A&I Coatings solvent borne fluoropolymer coating, intensely in an accelerated weatherometer, and after four years were satisfied they had a coating to match the product. Fluoropolymer has minimal erosion of the coating and outstanding colour and gloss retention so in tandem the two products are an exciting prospect for many Utilities Australia wide.
