When gas tanks need a long lasting coating they need Vitreflon 700. A&I has been pleased to supply protective coating systems for many gas tank refurbishment projects throughout Far North Queensland. The applicator, Quick Strip Dustless Blasting Services required a coating system which was tolerant to the punishing application conditions in Far North Queensland. The applicator, Quick Strip Dustless Blasting Services required a coating system which was tolerant to the punishing application conditions in Far North Queensland and would stand the test of time in very humid, tropical and corrosive environments. The coating system used on the tanks utilises Vitrephos 560 two pack zinc phosphate primer and Vitreflon 700 two pack fluoropolymer topcoat. The results of using this coating system have been positive with a decrease in tropical moss growth and corrosion and a very attractive finish achieved.

What are the benefits of using a fluoropolymer topcoat?

  1. Unsurpassed colour and gloss retention – meaning your project stays looking newer for longer
  2. Excellent application properties and final appearance – great for architectural finishes
  3. Far less film erosion than other coating technologies
